belief

Artifact

faith, you told me to have faith

and yet i never did stop

when the river turned red.

you saw it too didn’t you?

my hands covered in blood

not mine … …

you told me it was all the things i did

to have that kind of red,

not to be angry, to repent.

oh how i did repent.

change, to me miserable,

it was all my fault,

had to be

for i always believed in you.

you were my shiny star,

i knew nothing else,

hoped … … because i was too weak

to be my own entity

and you bore with me,

seeing i could be something one day.

squeeze,

i became yours to play with

though you would always call

this game by another name

and i believed.
