There is a vibrant echo

resonate from within,

I cannot tell you about it,

for it is not seen nor heard,

and yet it is acute, the music

so painfully sweet, so very lovely

my heart wrenches at love’s face,

for it told me secrets

my soul understood, peace, quiet

that river of calm, I did not need

more, for I am dancing in tune

with the echo, that partner, that held

me close when the world went mad.
