a life sacrificed and the joy was to see
a world reborn, to see innocence be.
lucy, oh luch how simple and naive you do see things!
that justice and idealism meet
that no more tears of why … when
stones break for lack of tears.
a world so cold, so aloof, so self assured
based on lies, a world i did not want to be a part of
and thus i bled
that others might live, truly, to have heartbeat
i longed for.
and the world changed, not, memories
forgotten, stories retold …
that wasn’t how it went at all
and yet the ink becomes solid
like me. a gravestone with mouth
muted. what did i sacrifice for?
