Sharon: Mindless tasks, mindless day sweep by

and I am running for the goal,

wrapped in red, tied with golden threads,

and I am finding the knots hard to break

as each twist cuts into skin, more red

spills on the red, and I find myself

reminiscing of another life time,

another version of me, I had kept tucked

deep inside, and her cries I no longer can ignore,

this vertigo, this transformation, this leaving

of the familiar, so very not what I should be doing,

my experiences has told me the fine lines

hide the devil, the fine lines notched in my face,

wrinkled now as I see daylight
