nemesis like twins tied
by an umbilical cord.
snap. but it cuts both ways,
thus silence.
then the heavy breathing
when one sees a way out –
and the tug, pull means certain
death when a twin screams. yonder.
what is that?
mumbles, faint gestures
could mean anything.
and a panicked swimmer
grasps at anything.
cut it off. this cord, me and you
don’t belong.
then heaven gave hope
hell gave a lie
but when the disciple has no sense,
it matters not.
a devil’s mistake, a human folly
it cuts both ways
when a spell is broken
with one yawning away –
just a dream.
and i hate to tear off this illusion
or mask.
labels are funny.
they don’t discern.
unlike spirits
sensing – i see ya.
then flesh swallows.
not anymore.
then spirit stays silent
when a heart follows the sound of voices
so keen.
it’s –
the footprints looked back,
and as always: you’re the story teller,
so tell me
do you like this story?
