and yet cursed it was;
when creation hearkens not!
what say you?
eh –
a shrugging of the shoulders,
don’t mind me. till
earthen clay
became too hot to bear
and all this while – the tides kept
rushing in.
flames that spoke
speak to vessels not chained;
behold the god of pleasure, money
and security –
earthen vessels
went their ways
each caught died out embers
no longer part of a living fire.
collected the aftermath – we’re safe now,
while it soon became clear.
fires that be;
aren’t meaningful unless they burn.
why speak evilly of hell?
fires that burn;
and the devil said: they’re my children;
when earthen vessels cherish cheap grace,
cheap fire,
cheap bargains
while collecting the devil’s debt.
