He liked the consistency, the steady logical
way out, each route told him exactly what he needed to
do, to go from here to there
and it was beginning to calm his anxious mind,
the unreal slowly became real
as he began to find his balance
of how things actually worked,
the madness, the swirling clouds
evaporated under the heavy thud
of rationality, move one piece, another
and it all seemed clear cut until
the blocks began to twist and turn,
change shapes and forms and
he found himself unable to comprehend
the various forms that just appeared
and it was already late in the evening
when he found that he had understood not
the bricks and layers,
only what his eyes told him.
