Val’s reflection

Poetry

I try not to wander too much into what could be,

for it matters not what I am today

when time is simply fleeting

and already I have lived life to the fullest

and tasted the fine wine and the honeyed fruits,

what regret is there?

and yet, I see the cool embers

find the heat gone, the water is

stale, left out for too long

I no longer understand the young me.

I should be glad,

I am not for it was a time of wonder,

a time of flights, even if I could

never have achieved all those quest.
