today’s reality does not solve the ah ha
moment we like to pretend it’s all peaches and cream.
no blood, no sweat, no tears, no heart aches,
just a cold silence, a lukewarm towel, a dampness
that neither infringes nor redeems, just – a learning curve
when social norms become codes, functions, nothing spontaneous
for a nerve is hit.
damaged with old wars reminding,
how the situation has changed, give me no more reminders
that inertia works. it works till it does not.
magnify a way out, an exit expands exponentially
but the light is already gone.
weary eyes gleam no more, shrunken body
does not need to eat, waste away.
erroneous solutions applied in a simple way,
the world has never been that was has it?
the sun rises, expands
and swallows the world,
too much heat – life giving,
pause. pause again. pause till life is cooked,
not the redemption sought – slips away, once again,
in this make belief land,
belief takes form, harden, become solid
no longer airy fairy thoughts
and the
old wars bled out,
stains corroding the very seats we idly put
ourselves on, pretending they do not exist,
a small chat, an inferno swells when a spark
becomes too much – cool it off, chew down that tongue,
till the temperature drops again,
your innards twist, coil, ready to strike
at nothing
lukewarm me, lukewarm you
we take as norm, better than being fried alive
then
an ant rises 10 feet tall
don’t talk back, don’t stir sediments settled
as currents moved, just not how i nor you
expected it to go about: meandering,
carving out, nah, it is just a straight river
we both say at the same time.
how cool the touch!
how gentle the look in your eyes,
how timid this talk,
neither dead nor alive,
just how it was meant to be,
chained, locked, suppressed, we say our lines,
everything that comes about is
just work. what’s there to talk about?
lukewarm,
insipid,
pretentious,
the sun spat out the digested life,
the moon keeps us stagnant,
neither festering, nor sparkling,
just a reflection of what life should be.
