i come to you in great tidings,

i come to you bearing gifts,

i come to you to take that burden off!

but you don’t see behind the tide

lies a snake, a giant serpent,

but you don’t see that the trojan

is springing forth, leaping inside, making havoc,

you most certainly do not feel pain,

pleasure carries out a tragic end vastly better,

a slight shift, a subtle push, a proportion cut,

a kind knife, a saintly gun, a hell fiend

leaps to your throat – it makes no sense

said the wide eyed man grasping a knife and gun

both touched with angel’s blood.

a slowness of the mind, an unresponsive body,

a numbing of emotions: words take life,

passion roars at the dragon – take me to the heavens

cried the wide eyed man feeling kind and saintlike

when blood reverses their flow.

it makes no sense cried the flying dragon

as it made flight to hell

on heaven’s wings – flapped no longer when

a wide eyed man said don’t blame me

and shoved the knife deep into the dragon’s back,

fired the gun behaved like any gun would. it kills.

bang, bang, bang,

a dragon’s howl is something to behold,

angels fell from the heavens when their blood

gets misused.

it’s the interpretation damn it!

and thus the stars continued to shine, to twinkle,

at merry man who committed his first murder,

at an ambitious giant flying lizard that thought it knew better,

i did not mean to – whispers the forlorn man

who weeps for heaven lost.

he falls hard back on earth, with eyes shining

with a dragon’s eyes,

roars with a dragon’s roar,

for in his act of murder, the dragon who never truly died,

gave man his first kiss,

now you understand me, that voice whispers night

and day to the gleeful man who believes

himself headed for heaven’s gate.
