innocence, who does not want to
be blameless, not the problem
or another i told you so, told you to, told you
you, you, you
and i was once a child,
whom adults smiled to, whom teenagers
gave way to, i was to be protected.
then the growing up comes,
suddenly the world no longer sees me,
well, they say
life is harsh.
at least for those with less,
thus the battle always has
been us versus them,
money or power is king.
no one disputes this,
quickly silenced.
god is just another stamp
of tongues wagging,
cheap whatever.
everyone can see the real god
behind all this fascade,
even the child.
mommy, daddy
you no longer love me.
