the great delusion

Alchemy

all hail caesar till the death god

took pity

then claimed

what was his all along.

for the cracks that came on porcelain

was embedded inside,

but humans saw only clothing

and it comes with a price tag

easy to be made if one has money.

and what is money?

it is that lucky strike, it is that hard life

with lots of saving –

both look the same, both completely

acceptable

for the norms are like the norn gods

out of reach

with newer ones

sitting at the sun palace

ablaze with

talk of subterfuge.

but no one knows really,

for you see –

the norms are like gods.

they make their own rules,

“better to be safe than sorry”

and yet it is a seal that works.

till norse mythology uncurls from

hidden

universe –

they come back with a vengeance.

then the pitiless cry out!

how strange this wave, how odd this feeling

out of touch

when caesar is erect.

unblinking, unashamed. just tall.

that is when the whispers begin,

then the flood rises from wells

no longer tended.

they are hysterical, screaming like poltergeist

unrestrained

for the greatest hallmark of a new star

is this. this unblinking earth

still believing it is the center of the stage.
